SnapTab Privacy Policy

SnapTab is a document, receipt, ID card, and QR code scanner. We built it to keep your documents on your device. This policy explains what the app accesses, what it shares, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect your personal information on our servers. We do not upload your scans, photos, or extracted text. Signing in is optional, and the app works fully without an account.

The app uses these device features only to work, and the results stay on your device:

• Camera: to scan documents, receipts, ID cards, and QR codes.
• Photos / media library: to import a photo you choose and to save scans you choose to save.
• On-device text recognition: text from your scans (including ID card details) is read on your device using Google ML Kit's on-device text recognition. The text is not sent to us.
• Face ID / fingerprint / device passcode (optional): if you turn on App Lock, your device's built-in authentication is used. SnapTab never receives your biometric data.
• Local storage: your scans, scan history, folders, signature, and extracted text are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Google Sign-In (optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google, SnapTab receives your email address and basic profile information (your name, Google account ID, and profile photo) from Google. On iPhone, you may also choose Sign in with Apple, which works the same way.

• This information is stored on your device.
• It may be used to restore your purchases and to provide account support if you contact us.
• We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
• You can sign out at any time in the app, which removes this information from your device.

2. Advertising

The free version of SnapTab shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and ad interaction data to show and measure ads, and may use it for personalized ads where permitted. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Android: Settings > Google > Ads; iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).

3. Purchases (if enabled)

If SnapTab offers an optional paid upgrade, purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We may use a purchase-management service (RevenueCat) to confirm your subscription status using an anonymous app user ID. We never receive your payment card details.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your scans or extracted text with anyone. When you use the Share, Save, Print, or Open link features, the content goes only where you choose to send it.

5. Children

SnapTab is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Security

Your documents stay on your device and are protected by your device's security. You can add App Lock for extra protection.

7. Your choices

• You can deny or revoke camera, photo, or biometric permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features will stop working without them.
• You can delete individual scans in the app, or all data by uninstalling SnapTab.
• If you signed in, you can sign out in the app to remove your account information from the device.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
